NASHVILLE, Tenn.– Adam Hood released a brand new single today and announced that his fifth studio album, Bad Days Better, is on its way. In the new single, “Harder Stuff,” Adam’s songwriting is full of introspection as it takes you back to a deeply personal time in his life when he decided to quit drinking. The song is vulnerable and hopeful and it also features stunning harmonies from none other than the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year, Miranda Lambert. This anticipated project from Adam is his latest full-length release since 2018’s Somewhere In Between and features ten new songs recorded at the historic Capricorn Studios in Macon, Ga. “These days liquor don’t write my songs
It ain’t right for a family man
To build a house on shifting sand
Don’t think that I’ve given up
I’m just taking on the harder stuff”

“‘Harder Stuff is one of those ‘magic moments’ that you work your whole life for, but have to just let happen naturally. I would never have been this vulnerable on my own, but when Davis Nix came to me with the idea, I knew I had to man up and get it off my chest.  Brent Cobb heard it first and then we adjusted a few things with Charlie Starr while we were in Macon, and then recorded it quickly after. It’s one of those songs that I’m emotionally attached to, and it will always frame a time in my life. I decided to quit drinking, finally had the determination to put my feelings into words and had the opportunity of a lifetime during such an uncertain time,” says Adam.

“Hood has songwriting credentials to spare, with cuts by Miranda, Cody Jinks, The Oaks, Travis Tritt, Whiskey Myers, LBT, Lee Ann Womack, Riley Green, Anderson East, Frankie Ballard and Drake White, among others. This Dixie-fried band bopper has a groove-soaked, funky backbeat that is wildly infectious,” said Robert Oermann of MusicRow of the first single from the album, “Business With Jesus.”
