FIFTH-ANNUAL WATERSHED FESTIVAL MAKES HISTORY
Over 40,000 “Shedders” Converged
At The World’s Most Breathtaking Venue For Two Stand-Out Weekends
Nashville, TN – The fifth-annual Watershed made history this weekend as the first-ever country music festival to host two consecutive weekends. Megastars Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Keith Urban as well as the genre’s red-hot acts such as A Thousand Horses, Brothers Osborne, Brett Eldredge, Chris Janson, Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves, Jon Pardi, RaeLynn and more all hit the stage for the momentous festivities. “With some of the world’s most stunning backdrops of the Columbia River…Watershed Festival has become one of the the country’s must-see festivals” declared Nash Country Daily, following the first sold-out weekend hosted by The Gorge Amphitheater, known “for being one of the prettiest ones to play in the United States” (Sounds Like Nashville).
Watershed Music And Camping Festival’s second weekend kicked off at full throttle on Friday, with a new stream of fans descending upon The Gorge to enjoy a rousing set by headliner Jason Aldean. Dubbing themselves “Shedders,” fans have quickly built a strong community since its beginning five short years ago and this year self-established the hashtag #SheddersForLife, as a display of loyalty to the festival, that has become a bucket list item for country fans and artists alike.
Eric Church continued the transcendent experience for all, with a high-energy performance that was built to a crescendo by earlier acts that day including Kacey Musgraves, Ben & Noel Haggard W/ The Strangers, JT Hodges as well as welcoming newcomer to the festival this weekend, Aaron Tippin. Sounds Like Nashville heralds that “Watershed Music Festival has become the place to be for anyone who is anyone in country music” and Sunday’s headliner, Keith Urban marked the finale of the history-making back-to-back weekends with a hit-filled set including collaborations with fellow returning artists Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris, while fans also enjoyed sets by crowd-favorites David Nail, Brothers Osborne and the addition of Chris Janson mixed things up for the second weekend.
“I’m still processing these past two weeks,” said Brian O’Connell, President of Live Nation Country Touring. “To expand to two weekends was a huge undertaking for all, including the artists and fans, and we’re not taking that for granted. Everyone involved helped us make history and we couldn’t be more humbled. We were able to provide unique experiences for both sets of shedders and more people were able to experience the magic of the festival.”
