53,000 Attend 4th Annual Taste of Country Music Festival

Jason Aldean announced as the first 2017 TOC Music Festival headliner

NASHVILLE, TN – A record 53,000 exhilarated  country music fans turned out over three days to attend the Northeast’s premiere multi-day country music festival, the 4th Annual Taste of Country Music Festival, held June 10-12, 2016 at Hunter Mountain Resort (Hunter, NY) in the Great Northern Catskills of Greene County.

The star-packed lineup for this year’s festival was headlined by Kenny Chesney, Jake Owen, andKid Rock; and included Gary Allan, Big & Rich, Frankie Ballard, Eric Paslay, Old Dominion, Neal McCoy, The Swon Brothers, The Cadillac Three, Jana Kramer, Chris Janson, Outshyne, Annie Bosko and William Michael Morgan.

On Saturday night, the Festival announced that country music superstar Jason Aldean will be the first headliner for the 2017 festival.

Music fans experienced many special “TOC moments” over the course of this year’s festival. Kenny Chesney told festival-goers that he woke up to a text from Kid Rock saying what a great crowd Taste of Country Music Festival had, and Big & Rich honored a U.S. airman onstage during their electrifying set. In addition, fans heard Neal McCoy do a heavy metal arrangement of Sam Hunt’s “House Party”, and some even saw Eric Paslay riding the resort’s Skyride before his performance.

“The Taste of Country Music Festival has grown every year, and this year we’ve set an attendance record with 53,000 guests,” said Dhruv Prasad, one of the festival’s organizers. “We continue to be grateful for the support we’ve gotten from the fans of our festival, as well as the artist community that continues to contribute to the growth of the event.”

We’re proud of the fact that our events generate nearly 15 million dollars of annual economic impact to the local area and community. The 5th Annual Taste of Country Music Festival will be held June 9-11, 2017, the weekend following the 13th annual Mountain Jam Music Festival, scheduled for June 1-4, 2016.
