2024 Maui Songwriters Festival Raises $130,000 to Help Those Impacted by the Maui Fires

KAPALUA, MAUI, HAWAI’I – The 2024 Maui Songwriters Festival produced by Renate Event & Design, LLC wrapped at The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua on Jan. 13th following another successful  year partnering with Sony Music Publishing Nashville. 

This year’s focus was to give back to those impacted by the Maui fires, $130,000 was raised with the help of Nashville Singer-Songwriters. 

Among those helping to raise funds for this year’s event were Old Dominion, Elle King, Chase Rice, Drake Milligan, Ryan Larkins, Emily Weisband, David Lee Murphy, Chris DeStefano, Jimmy Yeary, Shelby Darrall, Sonya Isaacs and more.  

Storme Warren from The Big 615 served as presenter for the festival and auctioneer  at the VIP benefit, where a Martin Guitar painted by artist Thomas Arvid with Canter  Negra Tequila (OD’s Tequila) signed and played by the members of Old Dominion was auctioned off for $35,000. As well as the Finale Auction where an additional  $57,000 was raised from; 2 encaustic paintings by artist Karen Jury one of Willie &  Lukas Nelson another of Steven Tyler, and 2 Ukulele’s signed by all the singer songwriters, Steven Tyler and Old Dominion. 

CMT HOT20 Countdown for the 2nd year highlighted the festival and this year covered the impact of the fires on the community.
