7th Annual Benefit for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital**

NASHVILLE, TN — The soundtrack of country music will take center stage at the 7th annual Country With Heart Benefit for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on June 11th. And that playlist will be absolutely amazing with dozens of country music hits performed by the stars who wrote them, all on one show, in the intimate setting of the Nashville Nightlife Dinner Theatre.  The spotlight will shine on Lee Roy Parnell, John Berry, Linda Davis, Billy Yates, Becky Hobbs and Dallas Wayne, along with show host, Bobby Marquez as they share the stories and inspiration behind those hits.

Legendary hitmaker, Grammy nominee and Texas Heritage Songwriter’s Hall of Fame member Lee Roy Parnell has joined the stellar lineup. ( “Tender Moment” / “What Kind of Fool Do You Think I Am” / “Heart’s Desire” / “I’m Holding My Own”). His song, “That’s My Story,” recorded by Collin Raye has been certified for over 4 million airplay. Parnell is part of a long line of Texas roots-music eclectics and among the elite few who can be identified as a triple threat. An ace guitarist who is known as one of the best slide guitarists on the planet.

This will be a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with his phenomenal slide guitar and intriguing musical history that dates back to singing with Bob Wills as a young child.

Also headlining this special benefit for the kids and family of St. Jude, will be Grammy Award winner John Berry (“Standing on the Edge of Goodbye”/”Kiss Me In The Car”). Berry is known for his superior vocals on such songs as “Your Love Amazes Me” and “O Holy Night.” John Berry has charted 20 country songs and had multiple Gold and Platinum records.

Grammy Award winner Linda Davis joins the songwriter rounds. Besides being known for her history-making hit with Reba McEntire, “Does He Love You,” Linda Davis is a noted and awarded songwriter. Her music has been featured on The Scott Family’s “Love Remains” album and Davis is currently touring showcasing her own writings as well. Davis’ unique ability to interpret a song has made her one of Nashville’s favorite vocalists.

The hits keep coming with Grammy nominated star Billy Yates (“Choices,” George Jones / “I Don’t Need Your Rockin’ Chair,” George Jones / “Flowers”). Yates’ songs have been recorded by artists such as George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Chris Young, Sara Evans, Gary Allan, Joe Nichols, John Michael Montgomery, Daryle Singletary, The Oak Ridge Boys, Mark Chesnutt, Gene Watson, Sammy Kershaw, Doug Stone, Rhonda Vincent and Willie Nelson. Billy Yates is an award-winning performer and top producer as well.

Oklahoma Music Hall of Famer star with 20 chart hits, Becky Hobbs ( “Angels Among Us,” Alabama / “I Want To Know You Before We Make Love,” Alabama / /”Jones on the Jukebox”) brings a beautiful energy to her songs with quite the impressive resume. Becky’s songs have been recorded by Conway Twitty, George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Glen Campbell, Emmylou Harris, Kiss, Wanda Jackson, John Anderson, Janie Fricke, Lacy J. Dalton, Ken Mellons, Shelly West, Moe Bandy, Joe Stampley, Johnny Bush, Charly McClain and more. Becky composed and co-wrote the 18-song musical “Nanyehi-The Story of Nancy Ward,” based on the life of her fifth-great grandmother, a Cherokee war woman, then peacemaker in the 1700’s. So far, there have been eleven productions (54 shows) in four states. She is also co-writer and co-producer of the award winning short film, “Nanyehi,” which was inducted into the Oklahoma Movie Hall of Fame in 2019 and features her song “Let There Be Peace.”

Rounding out the songwriting showcase is singer/songwriter/SiriusXM radio host Dallas Wayne. Wayne currently has a song out he co-wrote with Bill Anderson and Buddy Cannon called, “He Even Brought Her Flowers,” which he performed on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry. His penned song, “Not a Dry Eye in the House” was also recorded by Jeannie Seely and Willie Nelson.
