The ladies of Hadley Park, Morgan Leigh Garner and Courtney Dashe, are back spreading some Christmas cheer with their new EP A Hadley Park Christmas featuring two original songs.
With plenty of upbeat banjo picking, the duo’s harmonies shine in “Santa Crashed His Sleigh In Our Garage”- a funny country tune with wit and humor along the lines of “Grandma Got Ran Over By A Reindeer” while taking a more serious tone is the wonderful “If Reindeer Can Fly.” Calling on the magic of Christmas, the lyrics present a hope that if things that seem impossible can happen, then why can’t a lost love return?
If reindeer can fly around the world in a night
And the coldest of hearts can warm with a smile
Give me one reason in this magic season
Why I shouldn’t keep letting myself believe
That you might still come back to me
Morgan and Courtney are known for their giving hearts and helping those in their communities. In true Hadley Park fashion, they have created a music video for “If Reindeer Can Fly” to help encourage people to donate to help the families of the victims of the recent Borderline club tragedy and to the community of Thousand Oaks to help rebuild after the catastrophic forest fires – two events that rocked Courtney’s hometown.
