Nashville, Tenn. – Current IBMA nominated band Merle Monroe is kicking off IBMA’s World of Bluegrass week by unveiling a brand new video for their current release, “Hello Sunshine.” The “New Artist of the Year” finalist’s single also spends its third week in the No. 1 position on the Bluegrass Today Weekly Airplay chart, marking their most successful track to date on the survey. The song is available for download and streaming HERE.

“Thank you to everyone who participated in this video, we wanted to capture our appreciation for our fans who support our music and the fun theme of this song,” says Merle Monroe founders Tim Raybon and Daniel Grindstaff. “Thank you all for making that possible! We appreciate everyone, and radio who is adding us to your playlist as well. You all are the best!”

The video for the feel-good “Hello Sunshine” centers around a unique social media campaign. For the content, Merle Monroe asked their fans to submit images and content that brings a smile to their face. The result is a montage of photos, combined with the fast-rising band performing the hit. Another surprise Merle Monroe has in-store to celebrate their monumental year is a performance as part of the BGS Presents IBMA Awards Pre-Show, where they’ll be performing the song as part of a special set. It will be hosted by Sean & Sara Watkins.

In addition to the most recent single, the band’s Gospel release “God’s Still In Control” continues to reach uncharted waters for the band. The inspiring song has struck a chord with music listeners, spending SEVEN consecutive weeks at No. 1 on Roots Music Report’s overall ‘Bluegrass Song Chart’ recently. Both “God’s Still In Control” and “Hello Sunshine” will both be featured on Merle Monroe’s upcoming sophomore album, set for release in 2021.

Following the runaway success of their debut album, Back To The Country, the band quickly burst onto the Bluegrass scene. Founded by members Tim Raybon and Daniel Grindstaff, the dynamic singer/songwriters are no stranger to Bluegrass, Americana and Country audiences, having performed for years with multiple critically-acclaimed bands. Known for their unique style that is heavily inspired by heroes Merle Haggard and Bill Monroe, the chart-topping group turned several heads, cranking out multiple hits in the process.
