Miami Heat guard’s guest DJ session debuts on SiriusXM’s The Highway on Friday
Butler’s playlist is the latest addition to Pandora and UNINTERRUPTED’s
set of athlete curated playlists, available on Pandora now
Five-time NBA All-Star Jimmy Butler, who leads his Miami Heat into Game 2 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals tonight against the Boston Celtics, will take over SiriusXM’s The Highway with a special guest DJ session featuring Butler’s top country song picks.
Butler’s playlist, which he recorded while in the NBA’s “Bubble” in Orlando, Florida, is the latest addition to UNINTERRUPTED’s set of athlete curated playlists, and is also available now on Pandora.
Titled his “Chores Playlist,” listeners will hear Butler hand pick songs from Sam Hunt, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Kane Brown, Tim McGraw and more.
“I chose ‘Chores,’ Butler says in his commentary, “Because, even though I don’t have too many chores nowadays, I feel like as a kid you’ve always gotta do your chores no matter what, or you’re gonna get in trouble and something bad is gonna happen. To me, that’s what working out is like, which is what this playlist is for. I have to work out. Even if I don’t want to do it, you still should work out because sooner or later your time is gonna come. You’re gonna have to hoop. You’re gonna have to be strong. And if you ain’t been doing it, something bad’s gonna happen.”
Jimmy Butler’s guest DJ special on SiriusXM’s The Highway Channel will air on Friday, September 18 at 12:00 pm ET on SiriusXM radios (channel 56) and on the SiriusXM app. The special takeover will also be available On Demand and will rebroadcast throughout the weekend.
