MAKES EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE ON BILLBOARD

WRAPS NEARLY SOLD-OUT EUROPEAN TREK IN LONDON;
RETURNS TO THE STATES FOR THIRD ANNUAL A COUNTRY CHRISTMAS TOUR

NASHVILLE, TENN. – Billboard is exclusively premiering the latest video from all-vocal Country knockouts HOME FREE today (9/28), as they offer their own soulful rendition of “Man of Constant Sorrow.”

Watch Home Free’s rustic “Man of Constant Sorrow” video here.

Filmed at Oak Hollow Farm in Fairhope, AL, the quintet dug deep in southern roots to commemorate the song’s rich history. Vocal percussionist/beatboxer Adam Rupp, was also able to put his exceptional ability on full display, having perfected unique noises and instruments over 20 years of mastering his craft.

“We’ve taken this song all around the world this past year on tour,” shared baritone Adam Chance with Billboard. “It was inspiring to be able to bring it back home to Alabama, and really dig deep into the heart of it for our video.”

Their period wardrobe was also strongly influenced by their mutual love of acclaimed film O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000), spotlighting the Grammy-winning song.

Movie buff and tenor Rob Lundquist further admitted to Billboard, “I’ve lost count how many times I’ve seen O Brother, Where Art Thou? It definitely put this classic tune on the map for a lot of people, and we sure hope we’ve honored it!”

After a chock-full year of concept videos highlighting tunes from their latest studio record TIMELESS, “Man of Constant Sorrow” marks their final clip from the 14-track compilation that debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and boasted the group’s largest sales week ever after being released last September.

Gearing up for new music with an anticipated album launching next year, the road warriors just capped their biggest European trek to date with a nearly sold-out run, after first bringing the monster TIMELESS WORLD TOUR stateside plus a multi-date appearance in Asia. Ticket information for the final leg of the tour this spring, including additional international dates, will be announced soon.

Check out photos from their European tour stops here, as captured by their “Home Fries” – Home Free’s nickname for their fans.

On Wednesday (9/26), they participated as guests of the iconic group Alabama for their ALABAMA & FRIENDS #JSUSTRONG tornado relief concert to benefit Jacksonville State University (JSU) in Jacksonville, AL. Joining a stacked bill featuring artists such as Charlie Daniels, Shenandoah, and Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, the multi-act event raised more than $1M for the college community ravaged by a EF-3 tornado on March 19.

Their third annual A COUNTRY CHRISTMAS TOUR kicks off at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City in Atlantic City, NJ, on November 24. Fans can expect brand new production elements, setlist, and wardrobe, as they usher in the holiday season with festive classics and TIMELESS hits. This tradition will bring yuletide cheer through New Year’s Eve, as it culminates with a year-end bash at the Ikeda Theater in Phoenix, AZ.

  1. I love these guys and plan on seeing them hopefully sometime soon. In the meantime, I’m collecting all their CD’S. I consider myself a homefry. I have them serenade me to sleep every night. Have them playing them now as I’m writing this.
