It’s July, summer is in full swing, and Derek Lersch is ready to deliver the perfect summer jam! The Florida native is set to release his fifth career single “My Baby’s Summertime” tomorrow (7/2), but hear the track now as it premieres exclusively with The Country Note!
“This song is so fun, I love playing it! It’s catchy and gets stuck in your head, which is why I wanted to record it the second I heard it,” says Lersch. “The song really plays off the fact that my girl is so amazing, she’s like summertime and everyone loves summertime! The energy and feel that ‘My Baby’s Summertime’ brings, is exactly who I am as an artist on stage – so it’s a perfect fit.”
With electric guitars delivering a country rock vibe to the 90s country inspired song, Lersch sings his praises of his girl who personifies the season of summer:

This latest release follows Lersch’s 2018 debut single “Miss Me Whiskey,” 2019’s sophomore single “Forever & Always” (which was his wedding song to his high school sweetheart accompanied by a music video filmed at their wedding) and third single “Midnight Moonlight,” and last year’s “Ol’ Beach Town.”
