From rock bands to being a DJ for his middle school dances, Christopher Griffiths has had music running through his veins from a young age. A talented instrumentalist that can bring bass, guitar, keys, synth, harmonica, mandolin and upright bass to life, Griffiths pursued a degree from Boston’s esteemed Berklee College of Music before heading to Nashville at the age of 22. His resume includes a Juno Award for his songwriting on Crystal Shawanda’s “Just Like You” and lending his skills on bass on Will Hoge’s My American Dream (2018) and Tiny Little Movies (2020). Next month Griffith will follow up to his debut EP, Midlife Pop Crisis with the release his sophomore album Lime Lake Road, and is set to release his second single “Best Part of You” just in time for Valentine’s Day and premiering with The Country Note today.
With strumming guitar, harmonica and raspy Kip Moore-esque voice, Griffiths pledges his love for the special woman in his life, and how she’s there for him through thick and thin. “It’s a song about my wife, and how through all of my shortcomings she invests in me,” says Griffiths. “But more so, it’s a song about never being afraid to throw your weight behind someone in all their endeavors, and expect nothing back. To just take pride in what you have invested in another person.”

A song so personal to Griffiths, one has to wonder which lyric stands out and resonates the most: “‘Just want to be one of your blessings,’ because that is the whole song. I want to have a good impact on someone’s life. I crave that kind of interaction.”
