Exclusive Premiere: Bibelhauser Brothers “Blue Collar Dreams (Live)”

“‘Blue Collar Dreams’ is such a special song to us, primarily because it tells a story that is so personal. It’s autobiographical.   It’s also a story shared by so many folks around the country, including many of our peers and heroes in the music business who often still work a day job to make ends meet… and even more so, by artists who wrestled with the decision to give up a solid means of earning a living in order to pursue a creative path.” – Aaron Bibelhauser

A triple-threat of instrumentation, vocals and songwriting, the Bibelhauser Brothers (pronounced bee-bull-how-zer) have clearly made their stamp on the world of bluegrass.  Ask any Kentuckian, as the twin brothers Aaron and Adam are well known for their amazing harmonies, high-energy bluegrass-country style and prowess of the written word.  An award-winning songwriter, Aaron has penned songs throughout his career with several recorded by some of bluegrass’ biggest including Del McCoury, Michael Cleveland and Dale Ann Bradley.  Now, the Brothers are ready to  give one of those songs that has already had an incredible journey a new path. Released in 2017 by Balsam Range to much acclaim and prestige, “Blue Collar Dreamsis released for the first time by the man who wrote it today, premiering exclusively with The Country Note.

“‘Blue Collar Dreams’ is such a special song to us, primarily because it tells a story that is so personal,” says Aaron Bibelhauser. “It’s autobiographical.   It’s also a story shared by so many folks around the country, including many of our peers and heroes in the music business who often still work a day job to make ends meet… and even more so, by artists who wrestled with the decision to give up a solid means of earning a living in order to pursue a creative path.  Before Balsam Range took their cut of this song to #1, and before it was nominated for Song Of The Year at IBMA, and before it earned first place in the Chris Austin Songwriter Contest at Merlefest, “Blue Collar Dreams” was an honest anthem for working people.   The meaning is now bigger than that, and it symbolizes all the hard work, the aching back… blood, tears and sweat… the dreams, and the debt… sacrifices and struggles we all trade in order to provide for our loved ones and pursue our passions.”

In addition to the song’s release, the Bibelhauser Brothers are also premiering a live-performance video for track. Recorded live at Waterfront Park in Louisville, KY, the video captures the group’s trademark harmonies and mastery of strings across various instruments.
