Following his latest single “Dream Song #1,” honky-tonk country traditionalist and Appalachian singer-songwriter Ben Fugate & The Burning Trash Band is back and giving fans some more music to hold over until the new eight-song self-titled EP hits next month. An ode to hometown memories, the Hazard, KY native is releasing “County Fuzz” this Friday, March 8th and premiering the track today exclusively with The Country Note.
“Growing up in Hazard, the Dipsy Doodle Curve was more than just a bend in the road,” Fugate said. “It was a cautionary tale etched into the fabric of our town, so I had to write a song about it. ‘County Fuzz’ is our ode to those wild nights and the hard lessons learned.”

“County Fuzz” is the second single off the highly-anticipated upcoming self-titled EP, which sets forth a new chapter in Fugate’s career. “This album is a big departure from my garage days with just one mic,” said Fugate. “We aimed to reflect our unique sound, while drawing inspiration from country legends, and I believe we’ve captured that essence!”
To celebrate, Ben Fugate & The Burning Trash Band have several record release shows planned in Fugate’s homestate of Kentucky. The first will be on Thursday, April 11, 7pm ET at The Monarch Music & Arts Community (1318 Bardstown Rd., Louisville), and then a hometown show on Friday, April 12, 8pm ET at the VFW Post #7387 (1700 N Main Street, Hazard). The following week they’ll perform on April 20 at Harlan County Beer Company (120 E. Central St., Harlan). Admission for each event is Free and open to the public.
