“This song is about being proud of what you accomplish in life.  I couldn’t be prouder of so many of my friends and other healthcare workers around the world that are effortlessly staying strong and positive in such an unprecedented time,” says artist Christy McDonald. “As we continue to fight this fight against this virus, let’s continue to send prayers and praise to these wonderful human beings.  I hope you enjoy my ‘shout out’ to them all.  We should all be so proud.”

2019 was a magical year for McDonald. The vocal firecracker with a personality to match found her first cut “HaLehLouYa” which she co-wrote with GRAMMY-winning producer Nathan Chapman (Taylor Swift) and Danny Rader landing on GRAMMY-winning DJ Robin Schulz album release.  The album, featuring McDonald debuted at #4 on the iTunes World Chart, as well as receiving major airplay on KIIS FM-LA and SIRIUS XM’s #1 Hits channel; eventually surpassing over 13 million spins.  McDonald says, “I always dreamed of my music being heard all over the world so to hear it on the radio and to see it charting with artists like Adele and Rhianna was amazing.”

The year also led to a publishing and record deal with the prominent Big Yellow Dog publishing house, home to powerhouse artists/writers Meghan Trainor and Maren Morris in Nashville.  Before she knew it, the company had her spinning the globe, literally, pairing her with some of the top writers, producers, and other industry giants developing her craft and becoming a sensation in Europe and parts of the United Kingdom.
