Jillian Cardarelli Reminisces About Past Loves In Debut Single “Rerun”

Jillian Cardarelli, a singer-songwriter from Massachusetts, has always had a love for country music since childhood.  She’d visit her grandfather and listened intently to the likes of Patsy Cline and Merle Haggard. But it was Elvis who Cardarelli called her greatest inspiration, and after her first stage performance in church at the age of four, she realized that her future was in music.

Once in Nashville she worked on her craft, signed her first major label cut with Australian artist Jody Direen on ABC Music, and shared stages with some of the best of country music greats including Reba, Trace Adkins, Dierks Bentley, and many more.  She’s been a frequent performer of our National Anthem for sports events, singing mostly for hometown favorites Boston Bruins and Celtics, and has also performed for the Baltimore Orioles and the Nashville Predators.

Cardarelli recently signed with William Morris Endeavor and Suretone Entertainment, who represent powerhouse groups ZZ Top, Fleetwood Mac, and Lonestar.  She’s currently working on her self titled EP due this fall, but has been plugging her spring release of the album’s first single “Rerun”.

The song, written by fellow country heavy hitter Maren Morris, Tina Parol, and Jordan Reynolds, will hit home for anyone that’s been in love and tends to reminisce about past loves. Subtle strumming acoustic guitar, steady drum beats, adding in a bit of steel guitar emphasize the sweet laid back sound of Cardarelli’s voice, making it easy listening.  Her angelic vocals with its subtly twang, paint the perfect picture of a girl reminiscing of a love long gone.

I was sitting on the steps sippin’ RC Cola
Counting seconds waiting on him to show up
Every now and then I get a flashback of me flying blind on the passenger side
Moonlight brushing the power lines
To this day I’ve never known love like that

:Bridge:
Black and White or Technicolor
Our love looked good on each other

That’s the thing about a classic
Always know when you have it
Everybody wants, everybody wants it
I’m rewinding in slow motion
Been some time, but I’m still hoping somebody tells me where he’s gone
Wish I could find that old rerun on

The song is easy to listen to, and along with its well written lyrics, it will play in your mind like an old movie.  Cardarelli may just be starting, but with this song it may put her on the right track… straight up the charts.  Have a listen, go download on iTunes, Amazon Music, and other music sites or catch her out on the road as she tours with Lonestar.
