This Wellington, Florida, native has accomplished a lot since her journey into music began.  From punk rock to country, to winning The Voice to her first number 1, here are some of the reasons why we love our #WCW Cassadee Pope!

Early AccomplishmentsWhile in high school, Cassadee Blake Pope formed a band called Blake, undoubtedly a name stemming from her middle name. She later co-founded the punk rock group Hey Monday, releasing one studio album and three EP’s.  Pope is great friends with Fall Out Boy band member Pete Wentz and appeared in their video for America’s Suitehearts.” She’s also provided vocals for The Cab’s remix version of Take My Hand,” which appears on Fall Out Boy’s mixtape Welcome the the New Administration.

Team Blake! Pope was a four-chair turn during her blind audition on Season 3 of The Voice, and ended up choosing Blake Shelton’s team (perhaps sharing the name Blake was a lucky charm). As she progressed through the rounds, Pope performed several country covers, including Miranda Lambert’s “Over You,”co-written by Lambert and Shelton, which garnered her an iTunes number 1 spot in the all-genre category. Her covers of Keith Urban’s “Stupid Boy,” Faith Hill’s “Cry,” and Over You were included on The Voice Complete Season 3 Collection, which was released right after Pope was voted the winner, hitting Billboard’s number 1 spot on the Heatseekers Album Chart.

She Is Invincible – Since her win on The Voice, Pope has released two EP’s with Label Republic Nashville; Frame by Frame (2013) and most recently Summer (2016).  Frame by Frame garnered the singer a Platinum certification and a CMT Music Award for Breakthrough Video for Wasting All These Tears”. Pope has also been nominated for the 2013 ACA New Artist of the Year Award, 2014 ACCA Female Vocalist of the Year Award, and this year’s People’s Choice Award for Favorite Female Country Artist. She’s had several national TV appearances including  LIVE with Kelly and Michael, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and a performance with the Grammy-award winning group Train on New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly.  Pope has guest appeared on several EP’s and tours, most notably, Chris Young’s I’m Comin’ Over Tour in support of their duet “Think of You”, which gave the singer her first number 1 single and gold certification, and a very close friendship with the her male counterpart.

Her Silly Snaps – Thanks to the world of social media, artists get to have more direct interaction with their fans and show different, comical sides of their personalities, and Pope takes full advantage of this.  Just watch her SnapChats!  She loves using the various filters and sharing her daily adventures.

American Pride & Charity – Like many other country artists, Pope recognizes the sacrifices the men and women of our military make in order to keep our country safe and she gives back by performing for the troops; this past summer she joined David Nail at Fort Sill in Oklahoma.  Being an avid auto racing fan, she’s performed the national anthem for several NASCAR and Indy car races. Pope has also partnered with Sam’s Club Outnumber Hunger campaign to secure meals for the 50 million who go hungry each day, and this past summer participated in the City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game during CMA Fest.
