NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Country music outcast Wheeler Walker Jr. is proud of a lot of things, and one thing he can say he’s unequivocally proud of is the release of his first official single, “Summers in Kentucky,” a song he wrote by himself, to Country radio. Having already made the well-known industry radio tour rounds for months including stops at KWNR in Vegas; KJKE in Oklahoma City; KMLE in Phoenix; KRTY in San Jose; WJVC in Long Island, NY; WYCD in Detroit and KILT in Houston, the cut that has Nate Deaton with San Jose’s KRTY saying, “Wow.  Just, wow,” from his highly-anticipated sophomore album Ol’ Wheeler, out June 2 on Pepperhill Music/Thirty Tigers, will go for adds at all country radio on Monday, May 22.

“Originally, I thought that doing an expensive radio tour to promote a single that contains language about a stretched out p*ssy was a waste of time,” said Walker. “But I’m so glad it’s paying off! I expect every radio station in America to put this song in heavy rotation, even the sh*tty stations that play that butt-awful Sam Hunt song. Also, what does it mean if your body is like a back road? Does that mean it’s covered in gravel and sh*t?”

The demand for Ol’ Wheeler is so great that his album release week shows have sold out the venerable Exit/In in Nashville and The Troubadour in West Hollywood; The Bowery Ballroom in New York City is next before he boards a tour bus to his most major cities in July and August.

Walker’s “unfathomably obscene and undeniably offensive” (Rolling Stone Country) debut album, Redneck Sh*t, debuted in the Top 10 Country Albums Chart. This time, fans know what to expect and have shown they’re ready for what’s coming by flocking to the debut of his popular podcast, The Wheeler Walker Jr. Podcast, and to the internet (including P*rnhub) where one-of-three videos from the new album are already in circulation:
“Summers In Kentucky”
“P*ssy King”
“Puss In Boots”

Ol’ Wheeler is produced by Dave Cobb with the same band put together by the elite producer for Redneck Sh*t. The album builds on that 2016 debut, which proved to be no novelty record. Ol’ Wheeler takes a deeper look at life spent misanthropically on the road and in the crosshairs of Nashville’s establishment.

Ol’ Wheeler track listing is as follows:
1. P*ssy King (Wheeler Walker Jr.)
2. F*ckin’ Around featuring Kacey Walker (Wheeler Walker Jr./Shane McAnally/JT Harding)
3. Puss In Boots (Wheeler Walker Jr./Cleil McClellan/Charlie Wood)
