Saint Thomas Health Foundation Hosted Record-Breaking Rock the Cradle Event with Trisha Yearwood

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Saint Thomas Health Foundation hosted a sold-out Rock the Cradle event with more attendees and sponsors than any year prior. More than 450 attendees were present at this year’s event, which featured musical guest Trisha Yearwood.

The event proceeds will be used to elevate care delivery of NICU babies with the purchase of a NICView camera system. NICView cameras allow family to see the baby from any web-enabled device, anywhere in the world. This technology is password protected and completely private.

Rock the Cradle complements the many investments and accomplishments of the Beaman NICU and Labor and Delivery. The Beaman NICU at Saint Thomas Midtown hospital is a 52-bed Level III unit providing technology, expertise and timely care. The NICU is staffed by experienced registered nurses, along with a neonatologist, an obstetrician and anesthesiologist who are in-house at all times, and includes a transitional care nursery for those babies who are able to leave the NICU but not yet ready to go home.

“The Saint Thomas Health Foundation is honored to host this event each year to provide life-changing technology and advancements to the Beaman Neonatal Intensive Care Unit,” said Dan Thompson, Executive Director of the Saint Thomas Health Foundation. “We’re excited to implement the NICView cameras resulting from the generosity of our sponsors and donors throughout the community. We are extremely grateful that this year’s event resulted in more sponsorships and attendees than ever before.”

The 2017 presenting sponsors of Rock the Cradle include Academy of Country Music, ACM Lifting Lives, and Tennessee Women’s Care, among six additional platinum sponsors and 12 gold and silver sponsors. Rock the Cradle has raised more than $850,000 to support obstetrics care and the Beaman Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The event has been led by well-known Music Row executives Connie Bradley and Troy Tomlinson since its inception.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, thousands of babies and their families have benefited from cutting-edge technology and financial assistance to those with urgent needs. With ongoing community support through events like Rock the Cradle, Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital continues to provide expert care that is both life-changing and life-saving.
