Saddle Bronc Rider Turned Country Singer-Songwriter, Chancey Williams, Debuts His Latest Album, Rodeo Cold Beer, In The Top 10 on the iTunes Country Albums Chart

Following the Wide Open Country Premiere of “Tin Roof”

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The only artist and athlete since Chris LeDoux to not only compete but also perform at the world’s largest outdoor rodeo, Cheyenne Frontier Days, Chancey Williams, debuted his new studio album, Rodeo Cold Beer, which already broke into the Top 10 on the iTunes Country Albums chart, on Friday, May 19. Wide Open Country gave fans a sneak peek of the album with the premiere of the track,“Tin Roof,” Thursday, in anticipation of Rodeo Cold Beer’s full release. The ten song collection, which features tracks about love, endurance, brotherhood and soul searching, among other topics, includes the single “Down With That,” which won 2016 Rocky Mountain CMA Song of the Year. Also among Rodeo Cold Beer’s tracks is “Silhouette,” a seductive and sultry song, penned by Josh Thompson (“Any Old Barstool”), Josh Dorr and Andrew Paul Petroff.

Chancey Williams and The Younger Brothers Band’s prior studio album, Echo, charted on Billboard Heatseekers Albums. In July 2015, the group released the single for “Down With That,” which earned the 2016 Rocky Mountain CMA Song of the Year award. Most recently, the band had the honor of performing the opening ceremony at the Thomas and Mack Center for the “superbowl of rodeo,” 2016 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR).

Before pursuing country music professionally, Williams was a saddle bronc rider, following in his father’s footsteps. Growing up on a ranch in the Cowboy State (Wyoming), Williams learned the importance of strong family values and a hard work ethic, both of which now serve as influences for his music. His background, combined with his authentic, classic country voice, solidify Williams as country music’s newest cowboy.

On Friday, Williams performed “Rodeo Cold Beer” on KDVR Fox31 Denver’s morning show “Everyday”, and he performed more of his new music later that evening at the Loaf’N Jug Boats Festival at the Pueblo River Walk in Pueblo, CO.
