Nashville, TN – Jay DeMarcus, of the multi-platinum selling vocal group Rascal Flatts, is set to join film producer Travis Cloyd and writer Gregg Russell later this year as they produce the coming of age adventure film, ALL SHOOK UP. Guy Griffithe of Bridgegate Pictures is set to executive produce.

DeMarcus will take the reigns alongside Cloyd and Russell on the project, ALL SHOOK UP, which follows two young boys as they search for a thermonuclear bomb buried in the marsh off the Georgia coast. Based on the actual 1958 event that occurred during the height of the Russian Cold War, a scrambled Air Force jet fighter collides with an American B-47 bomber resulting in a 7,600 pound bomb being dropped off the coast of Savannah, Georgia. The nuclear bomb remains unfound and “irretrievably lost” to this day.

“I love the movie making business,” said Jay DeMarcus. “I always enjoy the process, and I learn more and more every time I do a new project, it’s another fun, creative outlet. This story pulled me in immediately: the timing was right, and things fell into place quickly. I am honored to be a part of this very special project!”

The movie will be filmed in standard 2D format, Barco Escape 3-screen format and virtual reality.
