Matt Rogers Proves His Worth With Release Of ‘Richest Place On Earth’

Matt Rogers’ EP, Richest Place On Earth, is now available on online retailers. The award winning, Georgia native recorded the project under multi-platinum selling, Grammy nominated producer Matt McClure (Lee Brice, Lindsay Ell). “Matt is a great vocalist, I heard his voice and had to record him. He records as good or better than anyone I’ve ever worked with,” says McClure. “He’s great in the studio and takes direction amazingly well. I can ask him to do all kinds of things and he falls right into it, which is a producer’s dream. It’s been a blast going in and working on his original music. He’s got a really cool vision and knows who he is. Matt’s really on point with what he wants to do with his career.” Fans can download the project on iTunes and other digital retailers or stream it on Spotify.

The project boasts six songs all written or co-written by Rogers. The physical album includes two bonus tracks and is available on his website, www.mattrogerscountry.com, or at his live shows. Every track shines a light on Matt’s unmistakable songwriting and vocal skills all while giving the listener a look into some of his most personal life moments. The inspiration for the title track came to Matt while he was making the familiar drive from Atlanta to Nashville and pulled to the side of the road for a funeral procession. “It’s here that dreams are buried before they ever come to life and Nobel Prize inventions that were never brought to light. Too scared to take that first step and afraid of getting hurt, you can find them there at the richest place on earth.” By the end of his drive he had finished the song and had started the process of creating his new project. He continues to display his unique songwriting technique on the up-tempo single, “Forgettin’ You Was Fun,” which puts a new twist on traditional break up songs. “This pounding in my head won’t go away, but I can’t wipe the smile off my face. You cut me loose just like you said you would. But feeling bad ain’t never felt this good.” Matt’s rich vocals and unmatched guitar licks quickly made the single a fan favorite at his live shows across the country. “I could not be more proud of this project,” says Rogers. “It was tough narrowing down the right songs for this EP. However, we ended up with songs that really translate what I’m about as an artist, as well as, a person. It’s cohesive. I hope folks can turn it on and listen all the way through and catch a glimpse of what I’m all about.”
