Little Big Town Wrap History Making Year With Final Ryman Residency Show and Multiple GRAMMY Nominations

Little Big Town Nominated For Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Country Album

NASHVILLE, TN – Grammy Award-winning vocal group Little Big Town wrapped their unprecedented year-long artist residency, “Little Big Town at the Mother Church,” from Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium Monday evening. With more than 23,000 tickets sold, “Little Big Town at the Mother Church” is the only artist residency of its kind in the venue’s 125-year history. The final, sold-out show featured a show-stopping surprise performance by Gladys Knight, as well as performances from special guests Eric Paslay, Jamey Johnson, and opening act Kelleigh Bannen.

Band members Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet, Kimberly Schlapman, and Jimi Westbrook of the AMA, CMA, ACM, Grammy and Emmy Award-winning group took the stage for the final evening at The Ryman to play a 27 song set, including their single “When Someone Stops Loving You” off their #1 album, The Breaker.  In addition,the band performed fan-favorite hits “Boondocks,” “Pontoon,” the multi-week #1 hit,“Better Man,” and their Grammy-winning, 13-week #1 crossover hit, “Girl Crush.”

On Tuesday (11/28), the group received two Grammy nominations for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Better Man” and Best Country Album for The Breaker.  “Better Man” also received a nomination for Country Song of the Year. Having “expanded their audience beyond Tennessee” (USA TODAY) as well as “the definition of country music from the inside” (Newsday), Little Big Town continue to earn critical praise as “a 21st century revival of Fleetwood Mac” (Goldderby) for their “excellent new album” (Los Angeles TimesThe Breaker, whereLBT’s glistening harmonies beam” (EntertainmentWeekly).  Little Big Town can next be seen on their upcoming The Breakers Tour, launching in 2018 with opening acts Kacey Musgraves and Midland.
