NASHVILLE, TN – Known to crush high notes and slay expressive melodies, Jennifer Nettles released “Hey Heartbreak” to Country radio yesterday (9/26). “That essential burn of humanity is apparent […]  especially on the shimmering” (One Country) new single. Featured on her critically-acclaimed solo sophomore album PLAYING WITH FIRE, Jennifer “proceeds to serve notice to […] sadness itself” (Country Standard Time) as she tears into unflinching lyrics from songwriters Sara Haze, Shane McAnally, Jimmy Robbins. Jennifer insists “Hey, heartbreak, give me your key / It’s you, it’s not me / Oh, you only bring me down, down, down, down / Hey, heartbreak, don’t come back /I swept up your shattered glass / What goes around is comin’ back around, ‘round, ‘round, ‘round.” Following a performance of the punchy track on the TODAY show, host Kathie Lee Gifford demanded, “That’s how the pros do it!”

Jennifer also recently unwrapped news of her first-ever holiday album, TO CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS, due out October 28 on Big Machine Records. The collection, produced by GRAMMY® Award winner Julian Raymond, shines with an array of festive anthems and traditional standards along with dynamic collaborations with Idina Menzel and Andra Day. In celebration of the release, Jennifer will join fans for select tour dates beginning in Nashville, TN (12/8) and continuing to Tallahassee, FL (12/9) as well as Lake Charles, LA (12/10). Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com.

The multi-media talent has embraced the exciting hustle of recording, touring and acting. Jennifer headlined back-to-back runs across the US and Canada with the PLAYING WITH FIRE TOUR and CMT NEXT WOMEN OF COUNTRY TOUR. The GRAMMY® award-winning singer/songwriter also picked up a 2016 CMT Music Awards nomination for Performance of the Year following a CMT Crossroads with labelmates Cheap Trick. Last year Jennifer starred on NBC’s ratings success Coat of Many Colors, based on the life of Jennifer’s friend and mentor Dolly Parton and will return to television this December for the holiday-themed sequel Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love. For the latest updates, visit JenniferNettles.com.
