Jason Aldean Takes USA Today Backstage and On The Road For “They Don’t Know” Music Video

Gannett Sites Across the Country Mirror Premiere of Fan-Fueled Video

NASHVILLE, TN – ACM Entertainer of the Year Jason Aldean proved he “remains one of the genre’s biggest stars” (Cleveland Scene) as he shared the music video for his adrenaline-filled new single “They Don’t Know” exclusively with USA TODAY and Gannett sites across the country on Monday (5/22). He took fans inside tour rehearsals in Nashville and backstage during opening weekend to witness the “blood, sweat and tears” that bring to life his new THEY DON’T KNOW TOUR.

“We’re just getting back out on the road for the summer, and after seeing the crowd sing this song back to me the first couple weekends, it reminded me how much the fans relate to it,” said Aldean. “To me, this video represents every person on my team, at country radio, my family and the fans who come out from all over the place. It’s because of them I keep getting to sing about the things I know and have lived.”

Directed by Shaun Silva, the “They Don’t Know” music video embraces the small town values and fearless attitude that confirms Aldean is “the mirror image of his fans” (Rolling Stone).

“An extended lament about how nobody really knows what it’s like to be from a small rural town, unless you’re from one” – Hartford Courant

“A testament to an artist understanding his audience and working to give that audience exactly what it wants” – Taste Of Country

The title-track of his seventh-studio album follows three consecutive chart-toppers off his current album THEY DON’T KNOW, which falls behind each album released earning PLATINUM certification or better, tallying more than 15 million total album sales and 19 No. One hits. The longevity of his career reached new heights as he most recently debuted at the No. One position on Billboard’s all-genre Top 200 Album chart for the third consecutive time. In addition to the new tour, the two-time and “reigning Entertainer of the Year shows why he holds the title” (Newsday) as the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will showcase a special exhibit opening its doors on May 27, commemorating his wide-open sound that has been one of the defining influences on today’s Country Music.
