Final THE SMOOTH TOUR 2017 Stadium Date Heads To Chicago’s Wrigley Field (8/12)

Nashville, Tenn. – Superstar duo Florida Georgia Line hit a Grand Slam in the Twin Cities last night (7/29) with their second SOLD-OUT headline stadium show. The performance is another pinnacle moment in their already-remarkable career.

With tens of thousands of boisterous fans at Minneapolis’ Target Field (home of the Minnesota Twins baseball team), round two of FGL’s stadium trek was even more intense than the first as Pop idols Backstreet Boys, Hip-Hop icon Nelly and breakout Country star Chris Lane took the stage. The explosive event featured full sets from each performer plus a batch of must-see collaborations, creating a wild night with the audience singing along from start to finish.

“Now FGL has done the near-unthinkable — headlined a stadium concert in Minneapolis without ever having headlined an arena show in the Twin Cities.” – Minneapolis Star Tribune
“…the right amount party songs, heart-tugging ballads, spectacle, energy, sweat and collaborations.” – Minneapolis Star Tribune

FGL invited Backstreet Boys to join them onstage for their heartfelt ballad “God, Your Mama, And Me,” showcasing lush harmonies and swagger. The PLATINUM-certified single was just revealed as FGL’s 13th career #1, and marks the first time Backstreet Boys have contributed to a Country single. Ending the show with a flurry of blockbuster hits, all artists then returned for a special encore medley of Nelly’s “Hot in Herre,” Backstreet Boys’ “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back),” and FGL and Nelly’s DIAMOND-certified hit “Cruise.” In typical FGL fashion, they lit up the sky with a colossal fireworks finale to cap off the high-octane night.

One more stadium concert is on deck as the crew swings through Chicago’s Wrigley Field for another SOLD-OUT extravaganza on August 12. The trifecta of stadium dates are part of the massive THE SMOOTH TOUR 2017 sponsored by Advance Auto Parts and presented by Old Camp Whiskey, which Tulsa World regarded, “Country has never looked so different or so hip.” The genre-busting lineup teed up the dates in June with a sold-out crowd at Boston’s Fenway Park.

Meanwhile, THE SMOOTH TOUR 2017 rolls on with its regular lineup of Nelly and Chris Lane, plus newcomers Russell Dickerson, Ryan Hurd and Morgan Wallen on select dates. Coast-to-coast concerts are scheduled through the fall, culminating with a two-night stand at the Verizon Amphitheater in Alpharetta, Georgia, on October 20 and 21. Live Nation is the official tour promoter.
