Known for it’s vacation atmosphere, set against the backdrop of the ocean, fans travel worldwide to attend the festival that takes cues from its namesake (Tortuga is Spanish for turtle), working to protect sea turtles that nest annually along South Florida’s Atlantic seaboard. Tortuga Music Festival also strives to raise funds and awareness of the issues that the world’s ocean currently face, as well as supporting marine conservation and research. Attendees can also learn more about where a portion of the proceeds from their passes go, onsite at the festival at Conservation Village. Offering an arena of exhibits within the festival grounds, fans can experience games, interactive touch tanks, cooking exhibitions, the latest ocean technology, and how they can help make a difference.
