MOVED BY RECENT SHELTER VISIT, DUSTIN LYNCH ANNOUNCES HURRICANE HARVEY BENEFIT CONCERT

Country Star Shows Support For Storm-Ravaged State
Proceeds to Benefit American Red Cross Storm Relief

Nashville, Tenn. – Following a recent, emotional visit to a Hurricane Harvey shelter, Country star Dustin Lynch will host a spontaneous benefit concert in Dallas, Texas Tuesday (9/12) to support ongoing emergency storm relief efforts throughout the state.

Lynch called into Dallas radio stations KPLX and KSCS this morning to announce the event.

“The spirit of Texas, and of Country music, is to help your neighbor – to pitch in when others are struggling,” says Lynch. “So many people have stepped up to lend a hand to those affected by this storm, and I’m proud to do my small part to support the citizens of Houston and surrounding communities. After visiting the storm shelter, and meeting people whose lives have changed forever, the least I can do is come back to Dallas and try to raise spirits.”

As many displaced by Harvey have sought refuge in Dallas shelters, Lynch asked to visit a facility after a performance in the Texas city Saturday (9/2) to meet with storm victims and spread hope through music.

The benefit show will be held Tuesday (9/12) at Cowboys Red River in Dallas (doors 6:30 p.m.; show 9:00 p.m.). Tickets are $10 and can be purchased on the KPLX and KSCS websites as well as at the door. The first 500 fans in attendance will receive a physical copy of Lynch’s hotly-anticipated upcoming album CURRENT MOOD (arriving 9/8). All ticket proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross. Cowboys Red River is an 18+ venue.

The concert will be the highlight of a coast-hopping week for Lynch, who will perform on NBC’s TODAY (9/7) and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! (9/14) to launch CURRENT MOODThursday night (9/7) he will visit the iHeartRadio Theater in New York City for a LIVE performance and Q&A session, hosted by iHeartCountry personality Bobby Bones, giving fans an in-depth look at the upcoming project. Thursday’s event will be broadcast across iHeartRadio’s mainstream Country stations, and also live-streamed on the iHeartRadio YouTube channel and iHeartRadio app.
