NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A star-studded collection of artists including Grand Ole Opry® member Brad Paisley, country hitmaker Tyler Farr, and rising country artist Chase Bryant are lending their voices to a special Sunday Night Opry performance to support Band Against Cancer with Sarah Cannon on October 1. As the lead ambassador for Band Against Cancer, Brad Paisley has teamed up with Sarah Cannon, the Cancer Institute of HCA Healthcare, to educate communities on the many ways that everyone can take action to prevent, fight and survive cancer today.

Tyler Farr, Chase Bryant and other special guests will come together with Brad Paisley at the Grand Ole Opry House to unite Country music artists and fans around this important mission. Tickets go on sale Thursday, September 7 at 12 noon CST at www.opry.com and (800) SEE-OPRY.

“Helping families who are facing cancer has always been a cause that is near and dear to my heart,” said Brad Paisley. “Together with Sarah Cannon, we want to ensure that each person can fight cancer where they get their greatest strength, in their own communities, with their own band of support. When we band together in the fight against cancer, cancer doesn’t stand a chance.”

This is the second annual Band Against Cancer with Sarah Cannon Grand Ole Opry event. The performance is part of a larger movement led by Sarah Cannon, its cancer programs within TriStar Health in Middle Tennessee and affiliated health systems across the country, Tennessee Oncology as well as other community-based oncology partners. Together, this band of support is committed to raising cancer awareness and providing individuals facing cancer with the help they need close to home. This year’s Band Against Cancer mission focuses on supporting all cancers in partnership with the American Cancer Society.

Paisley and other ambassadors will continue to share cancer-related education and messages through special media activations that will run the remainder of the year and into 2018. Through Band Against Cancer, anyone with cancer questions can call Sarah Cannon’s helpline, askSARAH, and talk to a nurse at any time to get access to local support.
