BMI Opens Weekend One of Austin City Limits Music Festival With Stellar Performances

AJR, Caitlyn Smith, R.LUM.R, Traveller & more take over the 2017 BMI Stage at ACL

For the fifteenth year in a row, Broadcast Music Inc.® (BMI®) brought the best up-and-coming artists across all genres to the BMI stage at the Austin City Limits Music Festival (ACL). Bigger and better than ever, this year’s festival featured expanded grounds and an improved layout for an even better music discovery experience. Weekend One got the festival off to an amazing start with three days of incredible performances on the BMI Stage.

Day One of the BMI stage at ACL opened with the multi-talented Jonny P,  followed up by indie-rock groups like The Aces and funk dynamo Spencer Ludwig.  Day Two brought breakout acts like R&B sensation R.LUM.R and Americana group Traveller, as well as country radio standout Luke Combs. Weekend One wrapped up with Nashville hitmaker Caitlyn Smith and the finale brought the crowd to their feet with pop breakout act AJR.
