Backstreet Boys and Florida Georgia Line Unite To Perform Each Group’s Biggest Hits During ‘CMT Crossroads’ Premiering Wednesday, August 30 at 10 PM ET/PT

NASHVILLE –  CMT has announced that pop and country powerhouses Backstreet Boys and Florida Georgia Line will join forces to perform never-before-heard renditions of each group’s biggest hits during “CMT Crossroads” premiering Wednesday, August 30 at 10 PM ET/PT.

The special comes on the heels of strong growth for CMT, which just notched its highest-rated fiscal 3rd quarter since 2014 with 14% year-over-year growth among Adults 18-49. Furthermore, CMT has posted 32 consecutive weeks of year-over-year growth with Adults 18-49. Competitively for fiscal 3rd quarter, CMT ranks as the fastest growing Top 50 (non-news) channel with Women 18-49.

“Being such fans of each other, this is a really fun way for us to put our mark on our songs,” said BSB’s Brian Littrell. “It’s going to be a fun night with seven guys who really admire one another. I’m looking forward to what comes of it!”

“It’s been really cool to collaborate with BSB in so many different ways this year,” shares FGL’s Brian Kelley. “And to be able to take our friendship – and smooth new dance moves – up a notch with this full-blown concert together is going to be epic!”

FGL’s Tyler Hubbard adds, “Getting us all under one roof in Nashville will be fire. We can’t wait to jump in on each other’s songs and add our flavor to ones we grew up listening to!”

No strangers to performing with each other – FGL teamed up with BSB on their platinum-certified, #1 hit single “God, Your Mama, And Me,” and the iconic pop group is currently alongside the unstoppable duo for select stadium dates on their The Smooth Tour 2017 – the one-hour show promises to be nothing short of high-energy as they perform hits “I Want It That Way,” “As Long As You Love Me,” “Cruise,” “H.O.L.Y.” and more.

“CMT Crossroads” debuted January 13, 2002 with Elvis Costello and Lucinda Williams and since has showcased dream musical partnerships including Kid Rock and Hank Williams, Jr.; Ray Charles and Travis Tritt; Dave Matthews and Emmylou Harris; Bon Jovi and Sugarland; Kelly Clarkson and Reba McEntire; Def Leppard and Taylor Swift; Sting and Vince Gill; John Mayer and Keith Urban; Steven Tyler and Carrie Underwood; Stevie Nicks and Lady Antebellum; Katy Perry and Kacey Musgraves; and Alicia Keys and Maren Morris to name a few.

“CMT Crossroads” is produced by CMT’s Margaret Comeaux and Switched On Entertainment’s John Hamlin.
