Reba McEntire Celebrates 40th Anniversary of her Opry Debut With Two Sold-Out Shows September 22

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Grand Ole Opry is honoring and celebrating Opry member milestones at shows this Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday night after having celebrated Jeannie Seely’s 50th Opry anniversary Saturday with performances by Seely, Bill Anderson, Patty Loveless, Wynonna, Crystal Gayle, Brandy Clark, Elizabeth Cook, and more. Seely was inducted in the Grand Ole Opry on September 16, 1967.

Tuesday night, September 19, Opry member Josh Turner will celebrate his 10th Anniversary. After receiving his invitation from legendary Opry member Roy Clark on September 29, 2007, the Platinum-selling MCA Nashville recording artist was officially welcomed and inducted in to the Opry family by Vince Gill on October 27, 2007. Turner is set to appear along with Craig Morgan, Connie Smith, and more.

Wednesday night, September 20, Opry member Darius Rucker will celebrate his 5th Anniversary. Gill inducted him on October 17, 2012. Rucker’s friend and Opry member Brad Paisley surprised him with an invitation to join the family on October 2, 2012. Gill returns to celebrate with Rucker Wednesday along with Brothers Osborne, Carly Pearce, and more.

On Friday night, Opry superstar Reba McEntire returns to the circle for two-sold out shows to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of making her Grand Ole Opry debut. She was inducted in to the Opry family on January 17, 1986.

Following the anniversary celebrations this week, the Grand Ole Opry will celebrate its 92nd Birthday October 6 & 7.  The Opry will induct Chris Young as its newest member on October 17. Other appearances scheduled in October include Steven Curtis Chapman, Charlie Daniels, Charles Esten, Tyler Farr, Vince Gill, Hunter Hayes, Chris Janson, Tracy Lawrence, Dustin Lynch, Craig Morgan, Brad Paisley, and many more, including LANCO making their Opry debut.
